Tribute to Glacia Robinson a High Point

Nicole C. Mullen, multi Dove Award winner and 2002 Grammy nominee, delivered an inspiring performance at the Gospel Songwriters Showcase, held in Kingston, Jamaica. Nicole C. Mullen added her energetic and electrifying ministry to an excellent evening of worship and praise to God. The Gospel Songwriters Showcase staged by the JCDC reached a high point with a special tribute and prayer, during the staging of Nicole C. Mullen live in concert held at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, on February 12, 2002.

Nicole’s display of her strong conviction, a warm heart, and array of genuine smiles warmed the hearts of thousands of Jamaicans who attended the event. Nicole entered the staged with tremendous energy, and displayed a versatility and range that only a few artiste in the world can ever dream of having. Nicole’s depth came through every song which she ministered and every word uttered in her cool conversation with the audience had great meaning and was covered with the Word of God.

She ministered such songs as “Freedom”, "Ring”, “On My Knees” and “Redeemer”. Nicole then moved to her latest album “Talk about It” and rendered such inspiring songs as, “Come Unto Me”, “Black Light”, "Witness”. Nicole then gave the audience their heart’s desire and closed the showcase with the ever popular “Call on Jesus”.

Trubue and Prayer for Glacia Robinson

A special tribute was paid to Glacia Robinson; past winner of the JCDC Gospel Song Festival was facing ill health. In paying tribute to her the JCDC reflected on the contributions that Glacia has made to the Gospel music industry and the nation on a whole. President of Word Time Ministries of Jamaica and Marketing Manager of LOVE FM, Michael Schurton was specially invited to offer a prayer of healing and restoration for the gospel artiste. President Schurton offered a moving and power packed prayer which touched the hearts of the thousands of patrons at the Showcase. Many welcomed the idea of a prayer at such an event and lauded the organizers for including such a powerful and inspiring addition to the event which was well executed and supported by many persons.
