Rev. Yvonne Dixon is associate Pastor of the Oneness Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. A faithful, trustworthy, dedicated and God fearing woman, Rev. Yvonne Dixon who yielded herself to the Lord and to the church for complete service September 29, 1959.

Born on January 7, in St. James to parents Lionel and Casserene Anderson, Rev. Dixon received a solid foundation in Christian training from her parents

She received her early education at Summerton Basic and Primary School in St. James and then St. Jago High School. She later pursued her tertiary studies at the University of The West Indies.

She has over 37 years of service in the Apostolic Ministry and has served as Missionary to Barbados and Monsterrat and Sunday school teacher at the All Saints Apostolic Church. She is a gifted preacher and is much sought after speaker. Pastor Dixon has conducted seminars on women’s and youth affairs both locally and in Canada. She is Chairman of the Apostolic Basic School and her community involvement aims at improving the moral, social and spiritual standards of people. She was honoured by Alcan Jamaica Limited with the Alcan Award for Long Service.

Among Rev. Dixon’s positions spanning over 30 years of public administration include: Executive Officer, Registrar General’s Department, 1968; Personnel Manager, Children’s Services Division, Ministry of Youth and Community Development, 1978; Assistant Chief Officer, Office of the Services Commission, (Central Government), 1983; Associate Pastor, Oneness Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ, November 1987, Deputy, Executive Director, Institute of Jamaica, 1991; Senior Director, Human Resource Management, University Hospital of the West Indies, 1996; Consultant, Word Time Ministries of Jamaica, September 3, 1997, Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, January 15, 1999, and Chairman Board of Trustees, Word Time Ministries, January 22, 2000, Acting Chief Executive Officer, University Hospital of the West Indies, 2000

Rev. Yvonne Dixon is associate Pastor of the Oneness Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and a Member of the Board of Advisors, Word Time Ministries of Jamaica.

Her willingness to serve the Ministry was demonstrated when she accepted a personal invitation from the founder and Chairman on October 24, 1996. She was later appointed a member of the Board of Trustees on August 30, 1997, Vice Chairman, January 15, 1999 -2000, Chairman January 22, 2000 to December 31, 2004.

She was also appointed consultant on September 3, 1997, for the special Outreach in Hospital Visits which lead to the ministry staging hospital visits in every parish and also visits to the George Town Hospital in the Cayman Islands Hospital and the Holberton Hospital in St. John’s Antigua & Barbuda. She chaired the Annual Hospital Visits to the University Hospital of the West Indies from 1997 – 2003.

She has participated and has been guest speaker at all Word Time Ministries Events from Annual Excellence Awards, Sports Champs, Annual Christmas Treat, Devotions in School and Bible Presentation Ceremonies, Annual Hospital Visits, Annual General Meetings and Anniversary Thanksgiving Services.

Rev. Dixon has won several Excellence Awards from Word Time Ministries.

She was awarded the Life Time Achievement award on May 18, 2002 for distinguished service to the nation spanning over 30 years, in the fields of Religion, Community Development and Public Administration. In January 26, 2008, she won the 10 Long Service Award and January 31, 2009 the 15th Anniversary Excellence Award for Distinguished Service to the Ministry.
